My mother has been in this home for over three years. She is now 99 years old, bedridden and suffering from dementia, I visit almost every day and see for myself the problems this home has. The turnover of staff has been phenominal which is very unsettling for the residents. Including interim managers, we are just about to get our 8th manager since October 2009.
Unfortunately the management do not listen either to residents, relatives or their own staff who work tremendously hard with little support.
My mother broke her hip and arm 5 days after moving into this home. She had bedsores on her heels about 6 months later. This week a grade 3 pressure ulcer was found (again) on one heel...................I just depair.
I hope that this home gets it's act together, with the introduction of a new manager. Just be sure you check the CQC Report. |
