Bemerton Lodge is registered for fifty-six residents and offers a team of skilled and friendly carers, able to provide care for older people and those with dementia, while also being able to offer day care.

May 20 2016 Living some distance from my elderly father, who is a resident, I thought I'd better ring ahead to pre-warn the staff of my visit. The phone call ended in an invitation to stay for lunch which was very kind. When I arrived everything was beautifully planned (even the weather). We had a lovely lunch together outside in the garden and the staff were brilliant. The staff had facilitated a really lovely visit. Thank you

Jun 2 2015 When I visited the home as a friend of one of your residents I was delighted at how well she is cared for and the warm, friendly welcome I received. The minute you walk in the door you can sense the warm friendly atmosphere created by the staff, I was shown to my friends room and we were all offered a hot or cold drink by a carer, who then popped back a little while after to see if we needed anything else. Having visited different homes it was lovely to see the interactions you all had and how happy the residents and staff are. When my friend, I and my daughter went to the main area of where she lives I saw there was a kitchen for the residents to use. During the visit I saw different staff that were talking, laughing and spending time with the residents at various points of my 2 hour visit. During my visit I saw the management spending time talking to the residents both me and my daughter felt that this must happen quite often as you could see from the interactions they had with the residents they were with. My friend was keen to show us around the home, it looks to me how hard the staff must all work to keep a high standard of care and keeping the home clean and tidy. My friend told me how happy she is living at your home and from talking to her family they are also very happy with the care received. I have told my daughter that when I need a home Bemerton Lodge is where I want to be.

The building may be old but it is comfortable, homely, with good access to activities, day unit, hairdressing etc. The grounds are also good in the summer. I feel quite relaxed my parent is well looked after and that is so reassuring.
