One of our finest homes in a beautiful period property, The Pines provides an oasis of tranquillity in vibrant Putney, south London. The Pines provides residential and nursing care for up to 43 elderly residents in a quite beautiful house with a delightful atmosphere.
The original house was a substantial family home. Following a sympathetic conversion, which took pains to retain attractive original features, the house has been complemented with an attractive purpose built wing offering the very highest standards of accommodation, both in residents’ en-suite bedrooms and in communal areas. In addition to dining and day rooms, a real highlight is the central courtyard and patio area where residents can reflect on times past and look forward to future activities.
The Pines offers a full range of residential and nursing care support, including trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms. The Pines operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at convenient times. In common with all of our homes, The Pines’ manager has a qualified nursing background. The home is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and has ISO9001/2000 and Hospitality Assured accreditation.

Sep 3 2015 My grandmother was there for a year and a half before she sadly passed away. Further to our sadness, the time she was alive there, she wasn't give a particularly good quality of life. Valuables 'went missing' and despite the police being involved and the management nothing ever came of our enquiries. Silk scarves and other expensive clothes disappeared over time but the biggest blow was her engagement ring that went missing from her hand. This was not a one off as when we pursued the company for answers none were found from the less than obliging team. For the high price you pay in fees, sadly the highest cost is knowing one's items of value and personal worth simply are preyed on by those who steal from those less able then themselves. Sadly many of whom seem to be employed by The Pines, Putney. I must say, of course, a few members of staff were caring and very considerate towards grandma. This must not tarnish the entire team with the same brush. However, with items of such value to disappear, and family heir looms to be gone forever, there is a real sense of sadness of the care for our elderly in this country, even from a supposedly reputable establishment such as The Pines.

All the care workers and nursing personnel work so hard for the comfort and happiness of the residents. Nothing is too much trouble. My 86 year old mother was nervous about leaving her own home but was quickly won over and wished she had moved there months earlier. The rooms access pretty courtyards where you can sit out in good weather. Lots of activities are planned each week and there is on site hairdressing etc. Also the food is excellent and wholesome.
