Care Home Information |
Prospect House aims to achieve excellence in nursing care and to extend that excellence to everything it does. From the style and maintenance of the building and the standard of housekeeping, to the occupational therapy and activity programmes; from the respectful manner shown by staff, to the ability of every resident to choose what to do every day. Importantly, they aim for excellence in the openness of communications between everyone involved in the care of people at Prospect House - residents, relatives, friends, doctors, nurses, social workers, carers and extenal agencies such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC) who regulate care homes. This approach led, in 2006, to the home being judged by the Commission for Social Care Inspection as exceeding more of the national standards for care homes than any other care home in Cheshire. In 2009, the CQC classified Prospect House as "Excellent", and in 2012, they became one of fewer than 200 care homes in the country to be awarded the coveted "Commend" status by the Gold Standards Framework for Care Homes. Prospect House is situated in the main street of Malpas village. It is very close to all of the local amenities. The home is registered to provide accommodation and nursing care for up to 48 people. |

My Mum was in Prospect House for around 2.5 years. During that time, she was looked after with great compassion and care, not only by the carers but by everyone who worked there. Prospect House staff treat residents and their family as part of the Prospect House family and it has a very community feel to it.
Whilst deciding to put Mum in a home was difficult, the decision for her to be in Prospect House will never be a regret. |

If you're looking for a nursing care home, then look no further than Prospect House.
My father suffered a major stroke. After 2 months in the Countess of Chester Hospital, Mum and I were desperate to find a high standard of residential care for Dad. We count ourselves fortunate to have found and developed a successful and long standing relationship with all the staff of Prospect House. This has been achieved by their compassion and understanding for our needs and with absolute dignity for Dad. I feel that everyone associated with Prospect House has become a true friend to my family.
Prospect House is very homely with a warm atmosphere. The decor of the sitting rooms and public areas is fitting for the grand building itself. The bedrooms are bright, with good outside views, and have modern facilities, which are continually updated. The food and choice of menu is excellent. Activities are arranged for the residents.
Malpas is a charming village/town with shopping and restaurants. I cannot speak too highly of the doctors at Laurel Bank Surgery.
I highly recommend anyone to seriously consider Prospect House. |
