Ever since I was little I have visited meadowbrook care home to visit my nan on regular basis. My nan has a brain injury and this happened about 10 years including a stroke and an anureism she had.
I am always impressed by the care my nan gets at meadowbrook they treat them all so equally and it’s amazing what they do for them e.g taking the. Out on day trips to the local town or the hairdresssers. The location is beautiful where meadowbrook is and when we take my nan out for walks in her wheelchair around the location it is absolutely beautiful and is always kept clean and tidy.
As we love far away it’s nice to know and more comfortable if you know someone you deeply care about is being cared for well. They let you decorate your relatives room to make it just right for them. The staff are also easy and willing to talk to you if you have any worries, and they communicate to the relatives well. They treat the patients really well and sometimes you just have to realize that, that is going to be your relatives home for now and you want it to be as nice for them as possible.
It is always comforting knowing there’s a hospital not far and that if anything happened meadowbrook is a great care home and they know how treat different situations well.
Me and my brother have shared many memories there with our nan, and whenever we see her she seems to be in a good mood.
Another thing is, is that when they are not going out on day trips for a while sometimes at the bottom of the care home in a big room they will play bingo or do a raffle.
I wouldn’t want to send my nan anywhere else and this is the perfect place for her. However sometimes she will be in bed still at 11 am in the morning if we arrive unexpected and this makes me a bit frustrated that they haven’t set her up already for the nice day ahead because she can’t do anything for herself so they have to get her out of bed for herself. But if we arrive expected. If we ring up she will be in a wheelchair. I’d like for this to be sorted.
Thank you
Your sincerely
Molly |
