After caring for mum who has alzheimer's for the past 7 years with no help from anyone my father and I needed to recharge our batteries,,decision was made to try respite reluctantly but knew it was what was needed we choose westview integrated care Witter sham unit, mum was as expected nervous and worried OMG from the moment we stepped through the door we were greeted by Emma and her team, who immediately made mum feel settled and me at ease,OMG when I returned after a week away I picked mum up practically a new woman who said it was lovely there all the ladies looked after me and food was lovely ( mum normally fussy)and she had joined in all activities 5 stars are not enough for this place as for the staff thank you soo much you all truly amazing thank you all |

Heard great things about this place but we have had an awful experience as a family. The physiotherapy department is disgusting and have no idea what they are talking about. It has been such a stressful and upsetting time and the department has made it 100% worse. |

I have cared for my partner with no help for several years, Her needs meant that I could not leave her unattended for more than 3 hours. She rejected all help from all other than her daughters, and only they could get her in the bath or washed hair..
So it was with great trepidation that I left her with West View Integrated Care Home. I should not have worried, the staff managed to all the activities where I failed, and she came away happy.. The friendly supportive attitude of the staff did not only apply to her, but also myself: we were treated with respect and understanding.
The premises were clean and attractive yet with clear attention to hygiene and a comfortable welcoming ethos. |
