My dad has been at Callands on Ulleswater unit for 12 months now. When he arrived he was underweight and had numerous cuts and bruises after spending 3 months in another home from where we had to move him because of lack of care. Since arriving at Callands dad has put on weight, is happy and very safe. The care on his unit is exceptional , the staff are lovely, friendly and very caring. He was too frail to sit in a wheelchair so Callands have purchased a special chair for him which is comfortable and can be adjusted to give him pressure relief. Dad suffers from Lewy Bodies Syndrome and requires a lot of care and this is given with dignity and compassion. I would recommend this home to anyone. |
