High Peak Lodge Residential & Nursing Home

Mum received exceptional care from the team at High Peak. She had been very concerned about the bad press such institutions were and still are frequently given and did not want to end her days there. She very quickly lost her fear as the staff gave her every possible comfort in her last days. Everyone was patient and kind as they all took time to meet the needs of all of their residents. We were able to visit her each day and quickly realised that she was safer and better cared for in a way that we could not have managed ourselves as that care needed to be unending throughout each day and night. The team work shone through as each member played a valued role in delivering such a worthwhile but difficult service. Special thanks must go to the team of carers and nurses who worked so hard on behalf of Mum and in particular to the manager for her work in creating an environment where all involved feel valued. We knew it was the best place for Mum almost immediately when we visited unannounced and were greeted with a smile and then shown around shortly afterwards. If you have need of a nursing home I can thoroughly recommend High Peak because of the special staff who deliver such a good service
