At HC-One our experienced Home Managers and members of staff ensure kindness is at the heart of everything we do.
We understand that meals are a very important part of our Residents’ day, our menus cover a variety of choices for each meal and a choice of snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are also available 24 hours a day.
Family and friends join Residents for meals which are served in one of our dining rooms or, if our Residents wish, they can choose to eat in the privacy of their own rooms.
Hobbies and interests
Our Activities Co-ordinator spends time with Residents to ensure popular pastimes are included within the weekly activities calendar which is displayed in the home, this includes:

• Coffee mornings
Our Cinema is also popular with classic film and modern movie lovers.
Residents also enjoy regular outings to the beach, local parks, pub lunches and shopping trips.

Our well maintained garden is a popular place to sit and enjoy the surroundings, with its relaxing water feature and summerhouse.

Feb 6 2022 My mum came to live here several years ago, she was poorly but the care and engagement she received helped her live safely for a couple more years. My dad is now a resident: his care is second to none, staff are caring, genuinely concerned, helpful, loving... and run off their feet. Leadership in this home goes to the manager and her staff. Well done, especially through such a difficult covid period. Mum was there during covid times, and she unfortunately was admitted to hospital which meant for many nursing care and care homes not appcepting back their residents for fear of spread, but the manager conversed with me and said this is her home we can do this safely for her and protecting staff Wow. This kind of mindset meant that mum could return to a place she knew, with staff that welcome her back. We wanted all along to be there for mum, tend, care and be there , but we couldnt manage between us. So tearful hearing the manager say ? This is her home, bring her back such a loving caring response xx

The staff are very organised with a consistent daily plan of how they look after residents. They have an open visiting policy that is convenient for relatives who work. The staff are very caring and are patient with the residents. The home itself is very clean and has good facilities and sufficient staff. My father enjoys the activities that are put on for the residents and relishes the food and drinks provided. They have Wifi available to residents and guests as well as TV in every room which keeps the residents occupied and allows for easy communication with relatives.
