Feb 12 2016 My Aunt and Uncle moved to Whitby Road Care Home in 2014, and while my Uncle's presence was relatively short, my ninety year old aunt remained for just over a year. My Aunt was particularly fond of dogs and we visited with our soporific Labrador on several occasions during 2015. On each visit my aunt was full of praise for Whitby Rd, in particular the staff who we also thought were absolutely brilliant. Kind and caring they created a friendly atmosphere that I know my aunt appreciated. Thank you all very much for making my aunt as happy and as comfortable as possible as she approached the end of her life.

Nov 3 2013 The care staff are great and go out of there way to make residents and visiters feel welcome. Can not say the same about the management. My aunt has been in there a while now it took some getting used to as she has always been very inderpendent. There is nothing she likes more the a chat and will talk to anybody. She especialy like the senior care staff who always go out there way to sit and have a natter. My aunt was suffering panic setions on a night so I stayed over as often as I could to put her mind at ease. All the staff were fine with this except the management who told me I was no longer aloud to stay overnight?? My aunt was shocked by this as was I and the care team they could not understand why the manager had said it. I have read the care homes facilitys and it states overnight stays are welcome?? I will be staying over again as my aunt has asked me to and she is more inportent to me then the management. My aunt find the food ok nothing spectacular. I do think more staff are needed as alot of people need alot of care and sometime they seem stretched to the limit I admire there hard relentless work, 95% deserve medals.
