I've been with this dentist on the NHS for several years, and the quality of treatment has varied from the best I have ever had, to the worst and most painful. Despite my complaints the first dentist repeatedly failed to numb my teeth sufficiently and I had to physically stop her carrying on many times as she continued to hit nerves. I have never had this problem before. or such painful treatment with any of my previous dentists, but this happened on several teeth. So I switch to another who worked on one of the same teeth with no problems at all and was basically the best dentist I have ever had. Although she is now private and I was passed on to a junior. Generally I had no problems with the admin staff. Although I have had issues with being double (or even treble) charging for work on the same tooth, and being sent a threatening letter when there was a question over the bill. It appeared to me that the dentist deliberately told me to comeback in a couple of months after some temp work , when the tooth had to be re-done, but this was charged as a new treatment as it just over the new treatment time limit despite me raising the issue at the time, as this was the to be the third time the same tooth was fixed that year. So my message is to be very careful, if its not working for you ask to change dentist or leave, don't put up with the pain I did because I believed what I was told that it was me.
