I have just had another letter cancelling mine, my husbands and my sons appointment for the third time! My son is only 4 and he has only just gotten used to the dentist. I have no idea why we are being cancelled but it is beginning to be highly annoying! Not happy with the lack of reasoning and seems to me like they have no dentists but being cancelled 3 times isn’t on. Where we can we are rescheduling appointments with another dentist but unfortunately they don't have capacity to see everyone. I made an appointment to see a hygienist several weeks ago as the practice has been struggling to find staff. Unfortunately I had to ring today to cancel due to unforeseen car problems. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and efficient and she immediately rearranged my appointment. My husband and I have been very happy with previous dealings with the practice - the staff are always approachable, friendly and professional. I went to the Penzance Brighter dental in the Lescudjack centre yesterday morning . After having an infection around my wisdom tooth for several weeks that had caused jaw lock and terrible ear ache along with a painful mouth and many sleepless nights . The lady dentist I saw was extremely unprofessional . Barely even looked in my mouth . she did not clean the problem erea , this is the first thing that should have been done . She did not even check my teeth . She spent her time telling me to find a dentist any dentist as soon as possible even if it was far away. I can't believe I spent 40 mins driving in heavy rain to see that dentist and 4 weeks of phone calls to get an appointment .. I can't believe I paied a dentist just to be told I need a dentist it was the most ridiculous dental visit I am amazed about the whole experience .When I asked her why she didn't check my teeth her response was oh no I cant , I asked if cleaning the tooth would help she replied yes it would but I can't ..apparently the dentist can not do anything even the simple task of checking your teeth .. I think I should be refunded out of principle . What a complete waste of my time and energy . I would never wish anyone else to go through the same experience .
