I have complete confidence in my dentist ,receive expert treatment and am informed of procedures as they are performed.
This keeps me relaxed during examinations and treatment.

My first appointment for July was cancelled by the practice, but we were able to reschedule for September. The staff were welcoming and the dentist was chatty and made me feel at ease. The check-up was thorough yet quick and the dentist explained everything as he went along. |

I last saw a dentist in June 2017. When I tried to book a 6 monthly appointment ( something I have always had/attended before) I was told it would be in 12 months time and hence one was booked for 15.6.18. Shortly before this date I received a letter stating my allocated dentist had left ( I presume like my previous one to go private!) Having heard nothing further I visited the practice and found it was shut although I could see through a gap in the window that there was a receptionist present. On return home I phoned the practice to be told no replacements were forthcoming and locoms were helping to deal with emergencies only.
I was advised to see a private dentist in the meantime and received confirmation that I would still be registered as a patient. As I have always seen a dentist at regular 6 monthly intervals throughout my life I find this an absolute disgrace. It appears from what I was told that those entering the profession are being trained by the NHS, don't like the fact targets have to be met ( as in the case of many other professions/jobs) and are moving into private practices. Isn't there an issue of commitment here? |
