Little Rothschild Surgery

Whilst a patient at the main practice I find using the branch at Pitstone is often more convenient as parking is rarely a problem, it is less busy and now provides more appointment slots. If you need to see your named GP, eg for a long term condition, they may not work a session there, but for other more general appointments and blood tests it is a very good venue.

my husband and I feel very lucky to have a good doctor and that we can usually get an appointment the same day there or the main surgery

My family (inc 3 children) have used this surgery for past 9 years. We have lived in a lot of places and can honestly say this is an outstanding GP surgery. The receptionist in Pitstone is great- so helpful, courteous, kind and never gives the impression anything is too much bother - quite unlike normal GP receptionists we have encountered. The doctors are good and our family doctor is very kind and pragmatic, so you always feel listened to and that he has your best interests at heart. I think on the occasions I have had to visit Tring, the receptionists there are not as good. Although efficient, it is automated check-in which doesn't help, and if you have to speak to them it feels like you are an inconvenience. I suspect being larger they have a lot less time which is why I like the rural practice. I am concerned about the potential loss of the dispensary which is also excellent given the opening of the new pharmacy, and really hope this doesn't mean our lovely local GP surgery becomes unviable. We will make the most of it whilst we can.
