If I didn't have so many health conditions I would have changed surgeries a long time ago. Some of the receptionists are extremely rude, and that's if they even get back to you as so many times I've been completely ignored. Dr Patel is fantastic, but trying to get an appointment with her is practically impossible. Very disappointed. |

I had a poor experience of getting an appointment on the phone as I had to wait a long time for an answer but once I was through the receptionist was helpful and courteous.
The doctor I saw was lovely and reassured me. She didn't rush me and listened to all my concerns. The doctor said the online booking was much easier but I couldn't access the surgery when I logged on. |

Do not recommend!
Getting past the rude and unhelpful reception staff, either on the phone or onsite at this practice is difficult in the extreme. It's almost as if the receptionsists pride themselves on being inflexible and by demonstration of a COMPLETE LACK OF patient concern or empathy. When I've turned up to try to get an emergency appointment I have often been asked what my medical problem is, in front of a line of other waiting people, as if they don't realise that announcing one's confidential medical history in front of other people could be embarrassing. Is this intended as some form of bureaucratic triage, as though the receptionist is in any way qualified to judge that your condition is serious enough to warrant a 5-minute slot with a doctor?!
The appointment system has always been bad but it progressively getting worse and worse. I can only think this is due to the surgery taking on too many patients, and subsequent mismanagement.
I haven't seen my own ACTUAL doctor for about 4 years as every time I have been able to secure an appointment, it's with somebody else or some locum.
The new nha online appointment booking system does not appear to work for this surgery: did they 'opt out' of the system or something? |
