In recent years the administration and phone reception is quite challenged. As a practice with 2 surgery's they can be less than helpful, with implementation of more automated booking services one would hope efficiency and stress for their admin staff can be reduced, but that so far manual administration and technology are working smoothly together, as they perhaps should. |

The times of opening and closing on this site are not correct. Today (fri) I went to the surgery in Chorleywood just before 5.30pm to find it all in darkness. I then phoned the Rickmansworth branch and was informed that the Chorleywood surgery closes at 6pm. The Receptionist there was apologetic but could not explain why the Chorleywood Surgery was closed except to say that one of the Dr’s was sick but why was the Receptionist not there until 6pm to inform people of this? I went to collect a prescription which I needed today. I now find the Surgery will not be open again until Monday.
I also note that the list of Doctors is not correct. One in particular left the practice some time ago and I understand there are Doctors practising there that are not listed. |

My husband & I have been going to Gade Surgery since 1988 having moved to Chorleywood from London. For the majority of those 30 years we have seen the same doctor, who at all times has been thoroughly professional, kind, thoughtful, helpful & supportive to us both. Thus having known a very good Doctor & who will be missed now. The Practice as a whole operates as well as can be expected during these difficult times. In all Organisations & places of work there is always room for improvement especially Doctor/Patient Consultancy times should be longer than the allocated average10 minute time slot. Administration seems to be at times hit & miss but obviously Staffing problems could be the issue! We want the Practice to continue to do what it does best & that is to look after their Patients with some input from the Patients themselves. Nothing is ever easy & a quick fix but dedication, perseverance & hard work pays dividends. See you next time Gade Surgery. A. & R. Edwards 12/6/2018. |
