I recently tried to speak/see a doctor as felt very poorly and had a terrible chesty cough , was told no telephone appointments available that day so to call 111 if I got worse, which I had to and consequently sent to A&E, where diagnosed with pneumonia. A&E very annoyed that a GP hadnt assessed me, but this is an ongoing problem with regal chambers. I was not called back by surgery until late the following morning ! Too late …. |

Bordering on Terrible. I am 86+ and have several on-going and long-standing troublesome conditions. Can I get even a telephone appointment with a GP who knows me and is actually aware of those conditions? NO. Do the GPs seem knowledgeable and interested? On the whole NO with a couple of exceptions; however I can never get to have even a telephone call with them. Come on Regal Chambers, we know the epidemic has made life difficult for you, but when are you going to try to get back to your previous excellent standards in the days of Drs Gilbertson, Hammersley, Griffin, Goulding and Hillman? I have had to attend the practice twice within the past 4 weeks, the telephone triage is new to me but I understand the reasoning for it. The receptionist was very polite and the triage service enabled me to receive a speedy appointment. On both occasions I have been seen by the same Dr whom I've been been very impressed with. The doctors patient care, thorough examination and manner are exemplary and I would like to pass on my thanks for the way she has dealt with my issue. Although my issue is not resolved I feel reassured by the doctor and her caring nature has been greatly received. THANK YOU |
