My husband 84 years of age, called in at the surgery today to try and get an appointment. Having had a heart attack and stents put in ,recently has been suffering chest pains. He told reception that he expected it was probably muscular and his red spray( under the tongue) had helped. All he wanted was a appointment for a quick check up and reassurance. He was instead just told to go to A@E. Surely this is out of order and wrong? Not at all helpful. Explanation please? |

What has happened to this surgery ? It used to be very easy to get information, appointments or even just be able to speak to someone. Now nobody answers the phones, it is unfriendly and u can never ever just get an appointment. U have to call back or go online I just want to be able to get an appointment please. I am considering finding another doctor after being with ridgeway surgery for 35 years. |

I have recently found the service at this GP practice to be appalling. I have been kept waiting for more than 40mins many times. After being told to come for an emergency appointment being in bed most of the week, I waited more than 40 minutes in the waiting room at 6.00pm. I saw the GP walk past the waiting room door a couple of times but ignored the fact that I was still waiting to see them. When I dare ask - did you forget me? She replied I have other work to do not just seeing patients in a very curt and rude manner. When someone is feeling ill it does not take much to show some compassion. |
