Terribly rude and unhelpful reception staff. Total lack of empathy and shouldn’t be working in an environment where people go medical care |

This practice is run by absolute monsters, a place where you are supposed to feel most safe and looked after you do not. I would avoid signing up to this GP Surgery. The receptionist have no educational experience and belittle you over the phone. Make a mockery when you are really sick and do not communicate for important medication that could be detrimental to your health. The doctors do not care and prefer to rush you rather that listen to your needs. If this is how an individual gets treated I would like to know how a person who isn’t as able does. This surgery is full of people who hurl abuse and snide comments rather than caring for your needs. This surgery needs urgent review as I do not think they are taking the hundreds of reviews seriously. From being with this surgery for 3 years i will say enough is enough and during COVID they have been worse. More aggressive more rude and in caring. They should be ashamed it’s disgusting that they get away with treating sick people like we have committed a crime |

Have been registered at this gp practice for 10 years and thanks god I haven't been too often in need of treatment or care but having a young child its inevitable to get to the gp every other month.I have to say that right from the beginning I have been humiliated for not pronouncing certain medical words correctly, been told off about how and when I can request certain appointments and all by the front desk staff. the ladies are always rude or come across very strong, It make me avoid going to the gp and ask advice from the pharmacist instead. The medical staff its not rude, most of the time helpful and showing empathy but by the time you get to see one its like going to hell and back.I feel its not fair that people should be treated with disrespect by the staff especially because who goes to the gp does not go there at their best times, but they go there when most vulnerable. I have tried to move to a different gp but couldn't as there are not too many medical centres in the area and the one that are, are fully booked. Reply from Higham Hill Medical Centre Tue, 09 Jul 2019 12:16:19 +0100 I’m sorry to read that you are not happy with the appointment system or your experience with our reception staff. Please contact the practice manger so we can address your concerns about your treatment by the reception staff. I am shocked to read this as all our reception staffs are polite, kind and efficient which has been reflected in our annual patient survey. Thank you for using the local pharmacy for minor ailments because that is appropriate use of the health services. There are 4 other practices surrounding Higham Hill Medical Centre beside 1 practice all other practice are registering patients. |
