tried for days to get through then waited 2 weeks for a "double appt" -
needed to discuss issues I thought would be taken seriously and what a huge disappointment.
GP showed no interest - no empathy and no insight at all. Never moved off her chair - no examination or even a hint of some interest in the complaint.
Mentioned the blood results only after I had said I had gone for blood tests. Said the repeat script would be sent to pharmacy.
Flippant response to a problem I have had for 2 months - X ray forms handed over
No empathy at all for a tearful stressed patient - "do you want time off work?"" No I do NOT want time off work!
Looked bored and totally disinterested throughout the consultation.
I want to be taken seriously - even if you are fed up of listening to the problems of the entire practice - it would appear that some doctors opt for General Practice because it is an easy life for those who just want to get through their day and pick up a nice pay cheque at the end of the month!
Very sad state of affairs - I wonder how they sleep at night!! |

I needed a urgent appointment and was able to get this in the morning and with a female doctor as I had found a breast lump. The doctor was very professional and listened to me also was able to deal with another problem I had. I was also pleased that I didn’t have to wait in the waiting room too long before being seen which helped with me not getting too anxiuos. I am glad to say I dont have to visit the surgery often but when I have have always found the staff very helpful polite and professional and believe they are doing a brilliant job. |

One testy receptionist can make aa surgery look bad. She tried point scoring by dangling an appointment with a GP for my heart medication and antidepressants. I did not play her game and walked out even though I had only 3 tablets left. I will go back on Monday and try and speak with someone more civil |
