Novum Health Partnership - Baring Road Medical Centre

I moved from Baring Rd just over 6mths ago to The Links - Court Farm Rd, and the difference between the two Surgeries, is amazing. I am on a 20 percent Statin , and within 3 months at the Links I was notified to have a blood test. !!!!! Apparently this should be a yearly event. I didn't have one test in well over 5 years at Baring Rd. Plus there was no contact at all, when I had an unfortunate accident XMAS day 2019. Not at all impressed with that at all, hence the move. They rarely answer the phone. When/if you get to the front of the queue you then get cut off. When a Dr phones back they just give you 2-3 rings before they cut off so often you cannot answer in time.

Today Thurs 29th March. I walked into Baring Road Reception around 1pm to explain that I was upset as I had been number 1 in the phone queue but was cut off once it was answered. I understand it’s not their problem but the Receptionist totally ignored me and then spoke to the person behind me. I then asked if I should bring in ID to set up an account. She still ignored me. Then she said that there’s no point because I won’t get an appointment that day. I explained I was asking in general because I was free that day and live in the same road. I felt very upset with her attitude. I have Cancer, the staff should realise that they don’t know what people might be dealing with. I will make a written complaint and will deal with Rushey Green Reception in future.
