I just wanted to say a big thank you to you all. Everyone is always very friendly and very helpful. Lynn Kirkwood I’m also impressed with. You seem to do very long hours and always seem happy to offer advice. Also having the Paramedic Practitioner’s there is great, they also offer great advice and help. |

I don’t expect a receptionist to slam the phone down on me when I’m discussing a prescription. I always find them very rude. When visiting during the winter with a throat infection I was kept outside for 20 minutes because when my temperature was taken it was showing high. I tried explaining that I had a temperature which was why I needed to see the doctor but she just shut the door on me and I had to wait until another member of staff come and took my temperature in a different area and said I was ok to come in. Not great when you are under the weather and need a bit of TLC. |

I've rarely has a bad experience until today. On the whole the doctors are very good and take time to discuss your problems. I can usually get an appointment when I need it so compared to other surgeries I have little to complain about.
My problem is with one Doctor who has a habit of keeping patients waiting for at least half an hour and almost seems to relish this power. Today I had an appointment and despite there being no appointments before me I sat in the waiting room for half an hour then asked why I hadn't been called in only to be informed 'she was in a meeting.' Is this not a very disrespectful way to treat your patients? She knew what time my appointment was and must have known I had arrived. The way I was treated was beneath contempt.
I made another appointment after the wait extended to almost 45 minutes. Thank goodness the reception staff and the other doctors are more kind and understanding. |
