Receptionist booked me in for a telephone appointment, she gave me a specific time. A week later when it rolled around I didn't get the call. So, after an hour and a half had passed the appointment time with no call, I called the surgery, and was told she shouldn't have told me that, and told me I was on the list to be called at a later time. When that later time came, I waited two hours beyond that time, and still no call.... I then called the surgery again, and this time I was told that the first receptionist booked it in wrong and put an entry in the message box rather than the call list, and that I'm in the call list section for a date that I'd booked a physical appointment!
Time is of the essence for me in this particular situation.
Clearly some of the receptionists there are a bit scatty to say the least.... |

Called and asked to see a DR, the receptionist recimmended I see a nurse (because obviously the receptionist is qualified to make this judgement call)
The nurse I saw today had no bedside manner, she was rude, unhelpful and abrupt.
Left me in tears and now looking for a new Drs surgery. |

The on line booking system does not make it clear when you are booking with the nurse practitioner rather than a doctor. I wanted to see a doctor bur did not get to see one. It took a great deal of courage to ask for help to cope with my daughter's wedding as her father (my husband) died very suddenly a few years ago. I want to enjoy the day to the full. I was told in no uncertain terms that there was nothing they could do and that it was fine to get upset. The NP said that they would check with a doctor and ring me. She did this and called to say that there was nothing she could do. The NP could not get off the phone fast enough. Clearly very little empathy. and total lack of emotional intelligence. I am not always seeing a doctor. The last time was several years ago. So I am not a serial hypochondriac but rather someone asking for help. |
