My mother rang the surgery today asking about her prescription kindly, my mum has an accent so the receptionist started talking loud and very rude! There was no need for it, I overheard the conversation and asked my mother “ who’s speaking to you like that” then the receptionist changed her tone but was still very rude and instead of ASKING for name, address d.o.b etc... she ORDERED her? “NAME” then my mother gave her name “ ADDRESS” then my mum gave her address, so rude so disrespectful there was no respect at all! Earlier today when my mum rang for the prescription the receptionist said “ I don’t think you need the tablets the doctors are going to do tests” so my mothers been having these tablets for the past 2 months when she didn’t even need them? Then when she called later they said “ yeah you do need them” If the receptionist was not rude today I would have never brought this up! I had issues with this surgery so I left and changed my doctor where I am actually getting treatment for my problems. I feel as now it’s time for my mother to change her doctors too which I’m not happy about as this surgery is so far the easiest to get through to and get an appointment straight away. I am very very disappointed with the service, I can write on forever with the things that have happened here but I’ll just leave it as that. Severely disappointed and do wish for an apology. I have visited with my own GP several times over the last 12 months and on each and
every occasion I have found him to be extremely helpful, courteous and sympathetic with
my problems. He readily puts me at my ease and gives the indication that he has time
for me. I would readily recommend him to other potential patients. |
