I have had a couple of good experiences with certain GPs at this surgery but unfortunately they are outweighed by the bad ones. I understand they are a busy practice with a lot of patients to see but I have felt rushed on many occasions and often felt I was not taken seriously. On two separate occassions I have asked for a route to diagnosis for a specific medical condition and have been dismissed out of hand. |

I rang this morning at just about 8am, and got the automated message saying the surgery was closed, I redialled immediately as I knew it was 8am, and then got the new message saying the surgery was open and they were experiencing a high number of calls, i have currently been waiting 18 minutes to get through. If they know they are busy in the morning, why don't they put more people on the phone lines for this busy period. The last few times I have been unable to make an actual appointment and have had to go to the emergency clinic instead. |

Today I went to collect my medicine that is on repeat I collected it then when I got home notesed my two types of insulin weren't in the bag.
So phoned the chemist and queried this and was told I did not order it (was sure I did)
But no problem!! .
Chemist said they would put one over to the reception to get signed but could I confirm with reception that they had it,
First phone call to reception on hold for 16 minutes then cut off second call 18 minutes spoke to lady on reception who said my repeat mess would not be available until end of surgery. I explained it was insulin and needed it for my midday lunch to which she dice the seam bothered and said talk to the chemist. Spoke to chemist who said they would phone me back once they had spoken to a doctor on my behalf they did call me and say a script was waiting for me at northborne so I went to get it no not there but great receptionest went to Dr and one was sent to Talbot med can't at last got it.
In con conclusion receptionest today was very unhelpful all the other people helped me without any fuss this is the second time she has been obstructive in my dealings with her I am not usually a complaining person but today I am.
It's not as if it was pain killers I wanted but I've saving meds being depressed and anksus made me panic with no reason if she had just asked a Dr to sign a script for me it would have saved me a lot of anguish and time Sorry for the rant but it needed saying. |
