My friend recently visited the Oakdale Surgery to seek help with slight cramp in one of their legs. Instead of helping the patient with their leg, the doctor took prejudice on thus patients' appearance, namely their size and weight. Blaming all problems on this.
Without asking for it the partner began to weigh the patient and comment, quite abrasively on how overweight the patent was. Giving 'not-asked for' advise on loosing weight. Rather than sort out the issue the patent booked an appointment for.
A doctor in my view is there to help patients with problems not make rude remarks and leave patients upset and crying. It is a persons choice to be fat or skinny as long as it doesn't inhibit other people. People don't deserve to be judged and made to change by a doctor who may believe everybody must be the same. | ||||||

I feel that the surgery has definitely improved. I have been registered with the practice for years. Before I felt that my doctor seemed uninterested. However, since speaking to a different doctor, I felt that they really helped me. The doctor is a genuine and caring doctor that is easy to talk to. I felt that I got a lot out of my consultation. I always find it easy to get an appointment that fits around work. The admin staff are always helpful. Also the nurse I saw was kind and professional. | ||||||
