This GP Surgery is my parents Practice and has been excellent, from the first time I made contact with them and has continued in this manner. Nothing is too much trouble and is accompanied by agenuine caring and smiling face. They answer the phone and make F2F appts where appropriate. My parents are very lucky.. Well done Townhill Practice ?? ?? ?????? | ||||||

I have had to make contact with Townhill Sugery on several occasions on behalf of my dad who is nearly 95 years old. I find it pure joy to always receive a kind voice who has always helped in finding a resolution in solving dad's problems. Townhill seems to me to be patient centred and efficient in following through with good communication systems which has given us peace of mind. Dad has been referred for scans and one recently even during Lockdown to be able to make a proper diagnosis. Many thanks to all the lovely staff involved, we feel very lucky belonging to this practice. | ||||||

I have registered at the practice having just moved locally and into this area. The practice reception staff have been pleasant and professional but seem to be working to a system which is arcane.
Tried to get a non urgent appointment on the 8th of the month and was informed that there where none (OK I can just about except that) but that no I could not make an appointment for the next month as their system had not opened it up yet and I needed to ring back at the beginning of the month. This is NOT an approach that should be expected in an age of online booking and computerised systems. This is not a rant against the NHS in general as it does a fabulous job with limited resources.
However the management structure for this practice needs to reconsider its approach to patient care as the NHS philosophy of putting the patient first does not seem to have yet arrived in Townhill Surgery. As a patient I feel that I am an inconvenience.
As a direct result of this experience I will be moving GP practice as soon as possible as I do not want this practice to earn any income from having me on there patient list.
I would avoid using this practice if possible and would not recommend it to my worse enemy. | ||||||
