Moved into the area five months ago and found registration process, health check, on line prescriptions with in house pharmacy excellent. I then had a problem with water stuck in one ear. The solution via national pharmacy chain was not successful. The doctors were able to provide an appointment promptly and resolved the issue creatively and with great sensitivity. Fortunately my GP experiences nationally have been very good. That said, this practice is the best and a good example of what can and should be the standard to aim for. Ramsbury/Wanborough surgery has been the best surgery I have ever gone to. I have such a complicated hormone issue and they have always been helpful with treatments, and recently referred me to a wonderful endocrinologist and fertility clinic.
Whenever I just need a telephone appointment, I simply ring in the morning and request one; a doctor will call me back very quickly, which is just a wonderful service. If I ever ask to see a female doctor, the lovely receptionists do what they can to find me an appointment with the next available one, without any complaint or insistence I see a male doctor.
I may be moving house so it fills me with dread that I would need to leave Ramsbury surgery, whom I've been with for about 5 years, but I thought I would write this review before I left.

I have had issues with tonsillitis and general severe flu symptoms for a prolonged period. It never tended to be bad enough to go to the doctors however when it did I was able to book appointments incredibly quickly - in fact on two separate occasions I was able to book appointments for that day at a time that suited me, and the GPs were immensely helpful and kind as were all of the staff. | ||||||
