I was contacted by GP and asked to attend an appointment which I did. The trainee doctor didn't know why I was there and didn't know how to access the computer to look at the information he needed. I gave up and left. I will be seeking a second opinion. Total waste of time for everyone concerned. |

I work for a careline and called this surgery on behalf of a patient, the first time I called, I was number 1 in the queue, however no one picked up the phone and it cut me off after 15 mins of being on hold. the second time I was 4th in the queue and finally someone answered the phone. Now I understand that places can get very busy, but with 3 different sites you would think someone would be able to answer the phone! This would be the last thing you want when you're not feeling well and then getting to the front of the queue only to be cut off again - its ridiculous! |

Doctors here (and I've had more than one) don't listen very well to the patient, especially the male doctors. I was talked over on the phone, as if the doctor had already made up his mind without hearing my situation. I'm not a big talker, myself, so found this rather insulting. Also, I was given a wrong diagnosis for a swollen eye problem, but luckily I got a good diagnosis from a Frimley Park ophthalmologist. I have several chronic illnesses and tendon injuries, yet although they refused to give me a muscle relaxer so I could exercise without seizing up, they offered gabapentin and other daily meds, instead, which shows they aren't up to date on the latest research about those meds preventing new brain synapses from forming (not good for anyone with cognitive problems). With an inflamed tendon in my hand, I was just told not to use the hand. Almost 2 years later, and I still have the problem, except now (from not using it much) I also have arm and shoulder problems. I asked them for a 2nd scan of the hand injury, as I wanted to find out why it hadn't healed. I was denied.
Only use this surgery if you have common ailments, like a cold. I would not recommend them. Yours does seem like a complex case, and there are other doctors you could have spoken to for another opinion or assessment. i am unsure whether it was a locum or temporary doctor, or a partner that you consulted, and it would be very useful if you could contact the practice manager, or any partner of your choice to see if we can help further in any way. Anonymous feedback does not allow us to see if we can help the patient and we would be very keen to see what we can do to make things better for you in any way possible.
