Theale medical centre is fantastic. Most of the partner GPS listen and are very attentive. The doctors work hard to get the best treatment for you and often will remember concerns you have discussed with them before. Appointment wait times can be lengthy but with the incriedble hard work this outweighs it all.
The centre offers lots of services such as online booking online requests etc. One thing would be it would be good if the online system went back to how it was before where you could book to see other doctors and receive blood tests results via message. |

I am someone who has to use the services provided by the Centre a lot.
Right from when you walk in , the centre is a welcoming place to be. The receptionists at the desk and on the phone , try to do their best to get me an appointment when I need and come up with an alternative solution if unable to , such as a telephone appointment. They are not magicians , but they really try their best. They work under great pressure and it’s a job that I wouldn’t want to do, due to the level of abuse they sometimes get. But, they do a brilliant job and do their best.
The practice manager clearly listens to the patients which is reflected in the changes that are made to the service . But her influence is always seen as the staff team at the centre appear to be a lot happier than they did a couple of years ago.
The doctors are really good. Mine , takes time to listen and I feel involved in my care. I feel well cared for whichever GP I see. The doctors are very patient focused in their care .

I had an appointment for a blood test with the phlebotomist on the 30th is May. I was called up exactly (to a second!) on time, the nurse acted in a very professional manner making a pleasant conversation at the same time. The test lasted just a few minutes and the whole experience was very satisfying and pleasant. What impressed me most is that when on passing I complained of cystitis symptoms, she immediately suggested I give a urine sample then and there. She later telephoned to inform me that a doctor would be calling me shortly to discuss the results of this test. I was very impressed - full marks
