    I have been with this surgery for many years but I find the reception staff are very very rude and talk to patients including myself disgustingly.They have such a bad tone and do there best to make you feel terrible and they try to get you to argue with them.Ever since the door has been locked because of covid they have got 100 times worse .They are the most unhelpful and rude people i have ever delbt with

    The staff are rude and do not care about their patients. There seems to be no confidentiality with the staff. Some of the doctors there are ovely and friendly but others seem to not care and want you out the door. The wait times are appalling and I've never waited less than half an hour.

    Dear Patient I am sorry to read that you are unhappy with our service. Our staff both clinical and non-clinical work very hard to provide an efficient , courteous and high standard of care in all aspects of our service, at a time when the NHS and in particular GP services have limited resources. Our reception staff work under the protocols and procedures set down by Dr Foord and his Partners and they can only offer patients the appointments that are on the screens. Unfortunately we have to limit the number of appointments we can offer on any one day to ensure we are operating a Safe service. Sadly many patients book appointments and then fail to attend without cancelling, despite receiving text message reminders. On July 24th 2019 eight appointments on that day alone were booked by patients who did not turn up and did not cancel them. This equates to one and a half hours of clinical time. With regards to our Doctors running late, sadly this is often because patients have complex health problems and need more time during their consultations.     It is almost impossible to get throw to make same day appointment. In couple of occasions, I waited till I got to number 1 in the queue from number 10 or over within about 10 minutes, then my call never got picked up for another 10 minutes or so. Call again, waited more time, then they tell me no more appointments. I insisted to talk to the surgery manager to report the fault of the phone system and demand a follow up. NEVER happened!!! plus initially they didn't believe me that i called sharp on time and accused me being rude to them. In fact, in this 4 years that i have joined the practice which I have visited frequently with my young babies, I have only seen a couple nice and friendly receptionists and most of time, they are quite rude to patients. However, once you are lucky enough to get an appointment, the doctors/nurses are great! They are friendly.

    Dear Patient I am sorry to read you are unhappy with our service and our reception staff. The practice has a complaints procedure which is on our website and patients are encouraged to inform the senior management team if they have a complaint about a specific issue or staff member which we can then address with the patient on an individual basis. Unfortunately our telephone lines are often busy, and patients have complex problems they need to discuss with our staff, and it is not always appropriate to hurry patients off the phones when they are distressed or require our help. We understand that this can be frustrating for patients trying to get through. We encourage patients to use the online or automated telephone facilities for booking appointments which can be accessed at any time of the day which many patients find convenient. This then can free up the receptionists to deal with other requirements. We discuss regularly with our staff our standards of customer service and they do work very hard to provide an empathetic service in often difficult circumstances. They work to protocols and procedures set down by Dr Foord and his GP Partners. I encourage patients who have a specific difficulty with any of our staff or services to contact me or my deputy at the practice. If we are unavailable at the practice by telephone patients can go to our website and send an electronic message to us , write a letter or ask for a comments/ complaint form at the reception desk Regards Julie Sequeira ( Practice Manager )
