As a clinician trying to contact the surgery, I do wish that their phone 01933 420777 actually worked. The number, despite being shown as the centre, is apparently not recognised. Have you tried to call an operator from a mobile and get a connection to a landline? That didn't work either. Even the land line only wants to discuss a problem with one of their contracts. What a waste of clinical time. Please fix your contact details or line |

There are a lot of vulnerable people who visit the doctors and the first people they come into contact with is the staff on reception. I left on Friday really upset by one of the staff members at Queensway Medical. I had completed a repeat prescription and posted it in the internal box first thing on Monday. I returned yesterday to be told by the nice lady in the Chemist next door my prescription was not there. I then popped into the main reception in the doctors and was informed it was still with the doctor for authorisation. She went on to tell me it would not be signed and to come back at the end of the day. She is not a doctor but advised my prescription was not urgent as I would have a break between packs. She does not know me or the medication I take. Repeat prescriptions should be ready within 48hrs as per the surgery advise. This was not in my case. I will be transferring to another surgery. |

My mum died over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, so we waited until the Tuesday to register the death with the surgery. The paramedics on the scene sent the verification of death over electronically. When my sister informed them of the death tuesday morning they said they would 'send it upstairs' for the death certificate to be issued. On Friday still no word so we chased them, they did not get back to us before they closed so we chased them again on the Monday. They said there was no paper work and we needed to complain about the paramedic not giving it to us. Whilst trying to get through to the ambulance service they called back and said they found all they needed. There is no hope for this place. Surely with something as common as death there should be a system in place to not stress out grieving families |
