Dr Willis has repeatedly refused to issue me a prescription for an important blood thinning medication that was recommended by a Silver Star obstetrician causing me huge stress in very advanced pregnancy. Despite numerous emails from the midwives who explained that they did not have permissions to prescribe medications, Dr Willis kept refusing to issue the prescription eventually leaving me in a situation when I had two injections left (I take them daily) and had to phone the hospital and get emergency supplies from them at the last moment while 36 weeks pregnant. The midwives informed me that they had a number of women in their care recieving the same medication and that my GP practice was the only one that refused to issue the prescription despite numerous emails from the midwives to the practice over a period of about two months. The whole situation has caused me enourmous stress. Avoid this place at all cost! |

This GP practice has been great in the 2 years I’ve been registered. Having had a baby recently I’ve found they will go the extra mile to ensure she’s seen quickly if she’s poorly. Reception staff have been helpful. Every GP I’ve seen has been kind and professional - I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice. |

I had a GP appointment late last year and came out and cried my eyes out as I felt the person in question found me humorous rather than taking me seriously. Maybe they were having a bad day, as my appointments in the past have always been fine but that has been enough to put me off as I absolutely should not have been made to feel like this and neither should anyone else. There’s one receptionist who is absolutely lovely and always goes the extra mile. Some of the others, I feel, couldn’t give you the time of day. I didn’t like being asked by the receptionist what my appointment was for when I’d said there was no rush for it......
It wasn’t like it was an emergency so in my opinion was none of their business! Appointments are often running late. I do like the fact that gps will make phone calls to patients. I would find it difficult to complain for fear of getting a bad name within the practice and therefore finding it awkward to return. |
