The reply from my eConsult query was very quick and contained some useful information. A small niggle is that the original mail was obviously read hurriedly, and the point about my not being in England at the moment was missed, therefore, the suggestion about coming in to talk to the nurse was not possible to comply with. I found it a little frustrating that I could not respond electronically to her reply. I would, however, be happy to use this service again should the need arise. |

I had occasion to contact the surgery at 5.20pm yesterday (11th Sept) with, I’m sure, an unusual request. My husbands blood tests, taken at the Churchill hospital failed for some reason and had to be repeated with some urgency. In order to eliminate any delay in repeat bloods being done, a particular lady offered me a possible solution with no promises of a successful outcome. I followed her instructions and between her and three other members of staff, my husbands bloods were repeated today with no hiccups. This is definitely one of those 5+ star moments and felt it needed a mention in despatches. Many thanks to all involved. |
