Sixteen doctors in the practice and numerous other medical staff according to the practice web site. So one might think that appointments could be within days rather than weeks. Where are they? Perhaps the practice manager could explain just how the practice operates on a day to day basis. The new method of contacting the practice is farcical and just a further barrier between patients and doctor. |

Our surgery has literally fallen apart at the seams. I’ve been waiting over 2 years for minor surgery. My husband has waited nearly 1 year for an ECG. Perhaps it would be more convenient for you if he could have a heart attack and die? Getting an appointment is virtually impossible and being cross examined by a receptionist who is not medically trained or competent to triage, all whilst in a public area is appalling. If you’re lucky enough to be promised a telephone consultation you’d better sit by your phone. I missed my call as I was on the loo and had to start the whole rigamarole of the e-consult again. Every time I go to pick up meds etc the waiting room is usually empty- and always empty on a Monday! People who need home visits are now farmed out on a private contract to paramedics. What are our GPs actually doing? They’re certainly not visible. And as for meds….tiny amounts are dispensed at a time with boxes being split. Why am I paying every month for meds when I have a stable condition that is only being reviewed 6 monthly? What a rip off! If I could go elsewhere I would. No wonder A&E is overburdened- your service push people over the edge. Your practice manager needs sacking. |

Virtually impossible to get through by phone. Took 5 days to get through. Soonest non-urgent appointment 3-4 weeks ahead. Good GPs when you see them but the systems are antiquated, buildings tied and gloomy. I eventually got an appt. needed a blood test, so had to book in again for a further 10 days time at a different practice to see the nurse to get a blood test. No consideration that this is a rural area where many people have to drive miles to get to the practice. No response at all to complaints to the practice. |
