I am a temporary resident and they have been so helpful here that I will be sad to eventually leave the area. I'm not usually a big fan of Dr's receptionists but these ladies are so very nice and genuinely caring. I was really unwell and could not find an appointment, so I said I would call in the early morning free for all the next day - the receptionist realised how ill I was and spoke to the Dr who then subsequently called me to chat a little while later. I was so impressed with that and very grateful that both seemed to care. | ||||||

I was discharged from the RD &E yesterday evening and was instructed to make an appointment with my Practice to have clips removed and dressing changed, the hospital gave me the clip removers and dressings to pass onto the Practice nurse. I rang the Practice first thing this mornng, the receptionist said that there were no nurse appointments available, even at 7 days notice, and that I would need to ring on the day to try and arrange an appointment then, alternatively I could travel 8 miles to Dawlish hospital. This attitude is very unhelpful, the Consultant reccommends removing the clips 12 days after surgery for medical reasons, the Practice receptionis refuse to see the medical requirement behind this reasonable request. It's shame, as generally the practice is lovely and has an excellent and committed medical team. | ||||||
