Dr Emes is a fantastic doctor and will go above and beyond to help. Unfortunately outside of this the surgery is very dated in its offering to women's health and for this reason my family have moved practises at the advise of multiple women who have done the same over the years and recieved appropriate women's health care. |

My interaction with the receptionists, nurses and a Doctor has been exceptional. They are pleasant, listen and are very caring in their approach.
My problem is that you really do struggle to get an appointment with a GP, especially a lady Doctor as there is currently only one at the practice. I could not even make an appointment with her 3 weeks in advance.
I was advised to try and phone in for an appointment on the day or come into the surgery at 8.30am to see if I can get an appointment again for the same day.
This is not practical when you work as you can not keep taking days off in the hope you get an appointment that day. If you try and phone the lines are engaged.
Also I do not see the point of advertising online appointments on the website as there never are any to be booked with any doctor. I checked this morning and there are no appointment even in April.
My recent tests have come back clear but I still have the problem and need to go back to see the Doctor. I am finding it very stressful having to try and get an appointment and not know when I will get seen. I should be able to make an appointment with my Doctor when I need to. Especially as I am happy to wait weeks for the appointment.
This is a big problem at the practice and such a shame as the whole team there are fantastic and a pleasure to deal with. The care you receive is also fantastic and you feel that you are being treated as a person not an illness and are involved in your treatment etc.
I really do hope this changes in the future or I feel it will be in mine and my families best interests to change surgery. |
