Difficulty in getting even a telephone consultation, forget about face to face consultation. Prior to Covid generally had to wait 4 weeks to get appointment to see doctor. Tested positive for Covid and while 111 and the ambulance service were fantastic I am afraid the surgery was less so. Did speak to one doctor who was less than helpful, although did have a better conversation with a different doctor. However, no follow up to check I am now ok. Very poor practice. |

An appointment was made for me to see a GP who I was told had an interest/experience in my type of condition. I was referred to a consultant re a "pre cancerous" lesion of the mouth. I paid for this and was given a course of medication. I met the GP after seeing the consultant and was impressed by the GP being very knowledgeable and helpful. As requested I gave the medication time to take effect then requested an appointment to see this GP again. Later when I called I was put on to Triage who called back and told me that the GP: was "a general practitioner not a specialist". After this I was offered an appointment with the GP ONE MONTH away or wait for an appointment with NHS hospital. This for a "non cancerous" mouth, (non cancerous I now know can become cancerous). I really have faith in this GP but that does not help if I cant have the option to see the GP in question. Will now have to go on NHS hospital waiting list or wait one month to see the GP. Meanwhile I must hope that the condition does not become cancerous. |

Been waiting since forever for a designated doctor. Three months of headaches, stroke symptoms, put down to stress., sinus, just normal headaches, when I have clapping thunder headaches every single day, can’t move, scalp pain. Admitted to hospital, when even the paramedics have told me I need answers and investigations and to persevere. Waited all day long for a return phone call, and no-one rang me back.
So I give up and will go somewhere else, somewhere willing to investigate |
