The biggest issue with this surgery is trying to get an appointment. Almost impossible to get through on the phone. The best way is to queue for it to open. Leave it til after 8am and you won't be first in line - if you're not first in line you won't get an appointment. I start work at 8am so have to take time off work before I even get to see a doctor.
The Receptionists are stressed because while you wait for them to check their computer someone else on the system can snatch the last appointment. I have been 4th in line and by the time the 3rd person gets to the front all the appointments are gone, and yet the waiting room is rarely busy!
You have a 90 minute window to ring for blood test results and it's the same again - a message that tells you that you are #1 in the queue but 30 mins later you're still on hold. I have a 30 min lunch break, it's a joke.
When you're already feeling ill or in pain you don't need this extra anxiety. I'm desperate to find an alternative practice but many of the reviews seem to reflect the same sad state of affairs. |

I really dont know where to start with this practice ! The latest gripe I have was the diagnosis of nasal polyps and the five different appointments I had, three separate drs,and not one looked up my nose, the only reason it was diagnosed was because my partner looked up with torch, quite alarming really when your partner has to diagnose you over the three gps at your drs. I could also give several more of these stories!! |

Over the past month I’ve been suffering with a reoccurring medical problem that has resulted in losing hours at work and university. I’ve had to go to the Walk in clinic and get appointments twice through 111, and today is the forth time I’ve had to access healthcare through an alternative route. This is a result of NEVER being able to secure a doctors appoint at this surgery. I don’t abuse the NHS system the last time I needed to see a doctor prior to this medical problem was over 10 year ago. |
