Can never get to see your doctor so you have to explain to other doctors what you are there for. Wanted to see doctor to update repeat prescription told I cannot get to see the doctors I usually see for two months. Just gets worse. Was told to speak to pharmacy to see if how long I could get repeat prescription for until I could get to see doctor and the person looked at me as if I was stupid and said you need to see a doctor. I asked her to ask one of the other people as it looked like she was new as she had known clothes on and not a uniform and she replied you need to see a doctor so he can renew it. Gave up and went home and told my wife I will try and get some sense out of someone the next day. When you ring to ask a doctor to call you back the receptionists ask what you want to see doctor about. I am afraid that that is between me and the doctors not them. Need to get sorted out and appointments available for people to have also was told would not be able to see doctor on an afternoon or later in day as work until 4pm and cannot really get time of work to go and was told that they don’t do appointments like that. Can see why people want to go else where. |

This is an overstretched practice where circa one month leadtimes are quoted for appointments. It is very rare that you'd be able to, or wish to wait that long. The registration process was old-fashioned in that it requires a long winded and mostly irrelevant paper based form to be filled out. |

Had a concern with regards to a medical problem that arose at 17.15 hrs , called the GP practice and it was suggested I call 111 however make my way to the surgery as there was an outside chance a GP may still be in the centre at 18:00 hrs. Upon arrival the receptionist was most pleasant and helpful, after only a matter of minutes I was shown to Dr Ptichard's consulting room and examined .
Not only was I seen by one Dr but also had a second opinion . I was prescribed medicine that was dispensed .
48 hours after the face to face consultation Dr Prichard telephoned to follow up to and check the medicines were taking effect .
The service was second to none ....A thank you to all involved . |
