I am absolutely sick to the back teeth of this place. I pay for private medical insurance at a premium through Aviva to receive a better service all round and to stay healthy because my work is important to me and I don't want to be ill. One of the perks is to order online via an app. And it worked for a couple of months. Got my prescriptions through. I work out of town and I'm too busy to keep going to the surgery. This is the same medication as I've been taking on repeat for many many years. All of a sudden "we don't accept orders via the app". No one can tell me why and I'm due to go on holiday in 36hrs. No meds. Rather than 'care' about me as a person, I'm a number The desk clerk is her usual rude self - sorry everyone has gone home and the GP won't talk to you as you're not an emergency. I will be an emergency soon if you don't let me have the prescription !! I have no idea why I bother to go to work and pay for my prescriptions when I might as well sit at home on the dole and get things for free. So now I have asked them to find out for me WHY they can't deliver via the app when Aviva have been in touch with my GP to access my medical records in the first place to make sure I am who I say I am. Computer Says No.... bureaucratic nonsense while my wages props up those on the dole getting fee treatment and I can't even get my own meds through when I HAVE PAID THE PRESCRIPTION FEE !!!!! It's an absolute joke and a disgrace. This country is so back to front helping those who don't help themselves and causing those of who pay our way no end of hassle. This surgery drives me mad. I have had so many issues with it over the years. Late GPs, not able to get pre-booked appointments, or any appointments at all. I think they think we all just sit around the house all day waiting to be ill !! It's about time GP surgeries treated those of us who pay into the NHS as humans and with some respect. |

I very rarely go to the doctors, as I use it when I conditions can’t be treated at home or home/over the counter remedies have been in effective. Not for the first time however I have rang the doctors requesting an emergency appointment and been made to feel like I am asking for the earth to get in and see my GP. When you phone through You are instantly great with abrupt unpleasant rude reception team. yYou are made to feel like your condition or child’s condition isn’t important enough to merit an appointment! The receptionist are not medically trained but speak to you as if their believe they are. They are rude, and seem to always make out they are rushed off their feet, however when you actually do get an appoinment they are found sitting at the reception desk chatting amongst themselves and ignoring the phones for pre longed periods. Respect works both ways and if they spoken to patients with respect am sure the reception staff would receive the same respect back. On a positive note the GP’s and Nurses once you get passed the rude reception team are extremely thorough, helpful and listen to and involve patients in their care. As a healthcare professional myself I understand the importance of patient care and treating every patient with dignity and respect. Think some training on these topics could have a positive influence on the surgery’s reception team. As it really is as shame that their rude, arrogant and uncaring nature has lead me to write such a poor review about an otherwise good GP surgery. |
