Having being given an incorrect appointment by the receptionist the previous week my wife called to make another appointment for an ongoing migraine issue today. She informed the receptionist that she was going to register with another GP as we have moved to a nearby town but had not yet completed the registration and so was still registered at Middlewich. 3 other doctors have now confirmed that Middlewich should not have turned my wife away and she is in fact still registered with them until our new GP receives her information. The receptionist at Middlewich refused to honour her registration at this surgery and instead turned her away with no help at all, no further information on how she could get help or advice. She is now left in a situation where she has been told by an out of hours doctor that she needs to be referred to a specialist immediately but this can only be done via the GP. As Middlewich refuse to see her and her new GP will not have her record for another 3 weeks she will remain without help, medication or treatment for almost another month. That doesn't include any wait time she will encounter for the specialist. This level of care is shocking and is not acceptable. My wife is now unable to work until she receives the correct treatment as she is forced to wait, I cannot believe this is the correct process to be followed. I only hope that the level of care at our new GP is higher than that of the Middlewich staff and that she gets the help she needs ASAP. I would certainly not recommend this GP to anyone as this is certainly not the first incident I have had with them. The doctors themselves are very professional and reliable but unreachable on many occasions when dealing with the receptionists. My advice would be register online and avoid talking to them at all costs. |

I have been with this practice for 6 years now. The staff here are, on the whole, tremendous, I cannot fault their friendliness or professionalism. The reception team are superb, always on the ball, helpful, efficient - nothing is too much trouble. The nursing staff are all fantastic. I have seen quite a few GPs, and with one exception, all have been just first rate. I absolutely recommend this practice, I think we are really lucky to have this surgery on our doorstep. |

Just a short review to say thank you. Called the surgery on Wednesday morning at approx 8:10am it was auto answered with clear instructions as to what would happen and how the call would progress, the call was then picked up within 3 rings and I spoke with a lady who was very pleasant she asked my symptoms and I was expecting to be told that it would be a few days for an appointment, imagine my surprise when she said that I could see the Nurse Practitioner at 9:30am that same morning. Check in was smooth with the self check in told me the nurse was running 4 minutes late. Waiting room was not crowded at all and patients were being called and seen frequently to other rooms. I was called to my appointment only a few minutes after my appointment time and the nurse was just lovely, I am a nervous patient and she put me at ease and provided advice and treatment as needed.
I would not hesitate to recommend this surgery and staff, as those that I have been treated by over the last 6 years have been friendly and genuinely seem to care about providing the treatment or service required. |
