Every time I ring I am literally on the phone for 30-45 mins at a time and then the phone will go dead meaning I have to start all over again....the receptionists are useless (don't answer the phone, are rude, obnoxious and i have no idea how they are still in a job) - i am not the sort of person to usually leave reviews but this absolutely deserves it |

Reception staff very uncaring and inefficient- prefer to blame the patient for problems, when it's clearly the fault of the surgery. The sister surgery (Grosvenor) and this one (Gresty Brook) share resources, and things very often go missing/get lost between the two surgeries, with staff trying to put the blame onto customers. Appointments are impossible to get. Often having to wait weeks to see a doctor. Telephone rings for a long time, before a grumpy receptionist answers, and who then tries to cause the maximum inconvenience to the patient. No acknowledgement when you enter the surgery-not even a hello- you're made to feel like you're wasting their time. Inefficient repeat-prescription process- the staff contradict themselves by saying you can only apply for a repeat prescription in person, or by telephone, or email. It's different every time you speak to someone. Repeat prescriptions are never ready at the promised time (&are often found days later at the sister surgery) |

I have been a patient since 1976 & at 83 with late stage C.O.P.D, I often need an appointment for a home visit or phone call as I am unable to drive at the moment. This is the first time I counted how many times I dialled the surgery. I started ringing at 8.29 am today and gave up at 9 am, having dialled the number 63 times [ yes, sixty three times, with each call charged to our BT account ] I gave up knowing there would been no appointments/calls left by then even if I did manage to get through.
Other than that, neither I nor my husband can speak too highly of the ALL the staff without exception, who always go out of their way to help patients if at all possible.
I hate complaining but it's awful not being able to get assistance /advice when I need it.
So sorry to write this but I'm getting desperate,
