The disabled facilities are appalling at The Stretton practice. There is no level access to the surgery , infact you have to walk up a slope to get into the practice and similarly walk sown a slope to exit, there are no grab rails and particularly in bad weather it is really quite dangerous if you have mobility issues. Despite reporting my concerns over the last few years things have not improved. There is not a suitable high chair in the waiting room so I have been unable to sit down whilst waiting for the doctor as the chairs are to low and not stable enough to get up from. There is no privacy when at the reception desk and as the receptionist now want to know in detail what is your problem before making an appointment for you this is embarrassing especially in a place where you often meet people you know. Similarly when picking up a Perscription you are asked your name and address in front of everyone in the waiting room. |

I got an appointment at 9am for my husband with a doctor face to face, even though I only got through at 8.20. They have a very good phone system that tells you where you are and invites you to press 1 and retain your place in the queue and they will call you back. I have been a very demanding person recently for prescriptions and appointments and I have been met with professional and polite responses. I have read some bad reviews but my experience has been one of kindness and professionalism. Which is wonderful because we have great need for their help at the moment. If the previously rude receptionist is there, maybe she has responded to the reviews in a positive way. |

I have always been well treated with respect and dignity, ther have been times when I could only get a telephone appointment but when it has been absolutely necessary I have had face to face. |
