Very difficult to get an appointment, especially for cervical screen test. These tests are best done at certain times in the cycle and there's no way someone e with irregular period can do that because there is nothing 3 for the next 3 weeks. I don't think vthis is acceptable. |

I am extremely disappointed and appauled by certain services at this establishment mainly front of house / reception area. A poster clearly states in the practice that any abuse or rudeness to staff members will not be tolerated however no mention of rudeness toward patients is to be seen. I have read another review on this site which states very similar to what I am stating about receptionists thinking they are doctors giving out incorrect information and being extremely judgmental and as a mother I feel severely questioned by my motives and decisions. I have also been questioned about my own medication and personal history by a receptionist at this practice which should not be tolerated. This is a pity as the nurses are amazing and doctors very friendly. It is a shame that it is all let down by your reception staff. |

It took me a lot of efforts to contact the Mediscan ultrasound company to get an appointment in the first place - hanging on and waiting on the telephone for someone to take the call. Call handler was cold enough but no personality or warmth just sounded like a robot reading from a script.
HCA when attending appointment came across as rude and disinterested but that doesn't matter as she was not the one who was performing this procedure.
Ultrasound Doctor or Sonographer or whoever they were - I really don't know as no one introduced themselves. Made a poor effort at small talk (Which was not English) but issued curt instructions on what I should do get on the couch, lay back but no discussion or advise about what they were doing or what would happen. The experience ranks as probably THE WORST encounter I have had to date with the NHS or it providers. I felt degraded, humiliated and little more than a lump of meat to be poked and prodded with little care or effort made to consider how I was feeling or ant attempt to discover what I knew or would like to know about the procedure.
I have no idea how your organisation is funded but if it is based on Unsworth Group Practice making referrals to you rather than patient choices then really this should just stop as I doubt any patient would willingly attend to be subjected to this dehumanising experience. I am done with both mediscam and this GP practice after this experience!!! |
