I've been with the Practice for a couple of years. The staff on reception are always helpful, even when it's mad busy. The couple of Dr's and nurses I have dealt with are really helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The internet appointment page is really simple to use and you can pick the time/date from the list shown. I highly recommend this Practice. | ||||||

I was so happy with this doctors when i first moved here but it has recently taken a sharp decline in my point of view. Whilst pregnant, I booked in to have flu jab and bloods taken and to see the midwife all on the same day. This proved too much for the receptionist to handle because when I showed up the nurse didn't know to take bloods and the midwife wasn't expecting me.
I was advised to change my midwife to the midwives nearer my home and they ended up sending me somewhere over 3 miles away, which resulted in a two and a half hour lateness to work for nothing.
I didn't have a follow up appointment booked in by the midwife, so when someone new took over they tried again to push me back to another midwife area.
I didn't go into work this morning, as I waited to call for an appointment. The receptionist made it clear she thought I was a time waster as she repeatedly reminded me Wednesdays are emergency only. I am four and half months pregnant with an excruciating pain in my back which has lasted for 3 days and preventing me from sleeping and driving a car safely. Apparently, this does not make me a priority.
When I asked exactly what situation the receptionist would consider an emergency she came back with "An emergency is something that has happened late the previous evening or early that morning and can not possibly wait until tomorrow" when I pointed out that surely that is what an A&E department is for, she replied "On Wednesdays this GP surgery is on parr with A&E"
I'm not sure about anyone else but if I required emergency treatment for example, if I half severed my finger, I would not be popping down to my local GP. The receptionist is not qualified to make a decision on what constitutes as an emergency and should not be trying her hardest to 'put people off'. | ||||||

I use their online system as much as I can:
Book my own appointment to see the doctor.
Order repeat prescriptions (48 hrs later collect from my chosen chemist).
Check my medical records.
Very little waiting either in the surgery or the chemist.
I have found all the staff helpful and professional | ||||||
