I phoned up for my young daughter who was very unwell at school and was told they were really busy and as my daughter wasn't a priority to phone the next day. When my daughter got home from school she was really hot and listless. I was told to give her calpol and still no face to face appointment was given. At 3am I had to phone an ambulance who took her to the RVI hospital with scarlet fever. I feel this could have been avoided if she had been seen by a Doctor. You do not play telephone roulette with a 4 year old child! The reason I joined the practice was the assurance that my daughter would always get to see a doctor when necessary. This is not the case. Also, when I rang up to speak to a doctor myself as I was really poorly I was asked over the phone by one of the doctors what I wanted them to do about it. Not good customer service at all. I will be looking to change doctors as telephone consultations in my opinion cost lives. | ||||||

My first experience on Friday (as reviewed earlier) was awful and left a really bad feeling. I have to say when I returned on Monday with to complete my registration, was relieved to find that the person in reception was the total opposite found on Friday. They were helpful, pleasant, and also helped allay my worries about next steps in getting an urgent prescription filled. I hope that this is the norm and that my first experience was unusual (perhaps a temporary employee?). | ||||||
