Receptionists do not have medical training and should not tell patients to "see a physio" then refuse an appointment again after seeing a physiotherapist who urged me to get an urgent referral for an MRI as the issue is serious and potentially can compromise my mobility. Absolutely lost for words!
They have no idea what was wrong with me, it could be a myriad of injuries/conditions.
It is not their place to deny me medical care and treatment. Reply from Teams Medical Practice Fri, 04 Jan 2019 15:33:13 Z Thank you for your comments. Our receptionists are trained to sign post patients to the most appropriate professional at the right time. The reason they do this is to ensure that appointments with our doctors are only used by patients who need to see a doctor. At no point would any of our staff deny a patient medical care or treatment. Unfortunately I am unable to look into your complaint because you haven’t raised it directly with the practice – without the details, I cannot comment further. Sue Jennings, Practice Manager |

All the members of staff that I have met at this GP surgery over the last 25 years have been helpful, efficient, kind and respectful.
I appreciate the way in which you receive the same level of care and sensitivity with mental health issues that you do with physical problems.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Practice. Reply from Teams Medical Practice Wed, 05 Dec 2018 12:55:05 Z Thank you so much for your kind words. They are very much appreciated. Sue Jennings, Business Partner |
