I have been consistently attended to with care and concern as required, by my doctor. She is efficient, knowledgeable and I would have no hesitation in recommending my doctor to anyone who should need medical care and attention at any time. Thank you once again. |

I’ve been with this practice for over 25 years. Recently, it has been a little more difficult to make a routine appointment without having to sometimes wait weeks for the next available appointment slot, however this is a wide spread problem across the region rather than exclusively suffered by this practice. If you require urgent care, it’s always possible to speak to a doctor on the phone quickly and then if required get an appointment that same day. Whenever I see a doctor they are always thorough and I never feel rushed. They are caring and sympathetic whilst at the same time extremely knowledgeable and professional. The surgery itself is clean and modern and reception staff are pleasant. |

This surgery has been our family's surgery for a lifetime and I will be sad to see the end of the registration with an excellent practice, as although the GPs and clinical and reception staff may have come and gone, the second-to none support and advice has remained constant. Although not a patient for some years myself since I moved out of the region, I've had a lot of contact with the surgery particularly during the last 15 years, whilst supporting first an elderly member of the family then a relative with a learning disability. Like all busy practices, it may take some time to get through on the phone or schedule an appointment. The fact that staff take time to listen and follow up on promises like a return phone call is an important factor in gaining patients' trust and respect and Heaton Road surgery's staff have always excelled in this. Many of the GPs' decisions, from prescribing or changing medication to referrals to hospital outpatient departments and two urgent hospital admissions have been the result of their skilled practitioner knowledge and empathy.Through knowledge of our family, health needs have always been addressed appropriately and in a timely fashion. Due to a move into sheltered accommodation out of their area, my relative is sad to leave the practice. You all do a tough job in some difficult circumstances and deserve praise for your work. Many thanks for the lifetime of wonderful care, help, advice, support in stressful times and the friendly approach. |
