Potentially could have something seriously wrong, was wrongly treated as a pass off patient. Suddenly have told me I live too far away and refuse to treat me when it's got worse. Despite being a patient for another 14 days till the switch. Poor doctors and wouldn't recommend to anyone. You'll be waiting 1 hour in a two person queue. |

My wife and I received a text (me) and a letter (my wife) to ask us to make an appointment for flu jabs. I phoned and had no difficulty arranging an appointment for both of us. Our past experience of this is a very well organised and efficient conveyor belt Today was no exception.
We were given a numbered ticket and asked to wait until we were called. This was after a very few minutes and it was lovely to see a practice nurse we have known for quite a few years. We went in together and I ended up with a "buy one, get one free" being due for a pneumonia vaccination at the same time. This level of service and expertise would not be available in a pharmacy!
I understand that I am not allowed to name names, but in truth, it would be invidious to do so, as everyone I have dealt with at this excellent practice, from reception staff to the GP's, has been friendly, helpful and efficient, not just doing their job, but doing it with a smile. I have had numerous visits to the RVI and Freeman over the past couple of years and I was discharged by my consultant when she would normally have made a further appointment, with the comment "I'm happy to leave you in the care of your general practice. It's a very good practice". I can only echo those sentiments

I wanted to write a review about my experience with the Thornfield Medical Group and now I find myself lost for words. When I moved to Byker, in January 2014, I came with several medical conditions which they have helped me with with exceptional skill and kindness. I can very strongly recommend the Thornfield Medical Group and since the Covid Pandemic they have continued to look after me, working well with the Pharmacy next door, and being swamped with telephone calls, they still take any amount of time to help me. All the nurses, doctors, receptionists and secretaries go out of their way to make certain I'm OK. |
